Ballet Instructor | Company Ballet Program Lead
Cristina’s dance journey began at the age of three, with a focused dedication to ballet emerging at seven when she began training in the Vaganova method. Her formative years were spent at Orlando Ballet School in the pre-professional division, where she trained rigorously for seven years. During this time, Cristina was honored to perform the role of Clara in Orlando Ballet’s acclaimed production of The Nutcracker for three consecutive years at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
Following her time at Orlando Ballet School, Cristina refined her skills under the mentorship of Zoica Tovar and Andres Estevez at the United Ballet Theater Academy. There, she performed solos from La Fille Mal Gardee and The Pharaoh’s Daughter, as well as the role of Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty. She later joined United Ballet Theater’s professional company, where she brought to life roles such as Marzipan and Snow in The Nutcracker and performed featured roles in Napoli and Jukebox Ballets.
Beyond her specialization in ballet and pointe work, Cristina has extensive experience across a variety of dance styles, including character, contemporary, modern, jazz, musical theater, hip hop, and flamenco. Since beginning teaching in 2020, she has actively pursued professional development through numerous seminars on ballet pedagogy and dance education.
Cristina is also in her final semester at the University of Central Florida, where she is set to graduate with degrees in Communication Disorders and Psychology. This academic background further enriches her understanding of student development and learning processes.
Ms. Cristina's approach to teaching is centered on cultivating technical excellence while fostering a deep love and passion for dance. Her diverse experience and dedication make her a valuable mentor, helping students reach their fullest potential both in and out of the studio.
